At Steel Horizon, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If there is a problem with your order or product, please contact us so that we can assist you.
This policy applies to purchases made through the Steel Horizon online store.
Nothing in this policy is intended to remove, restrict or limit any rights you have under applicable South African consumer-protection law.
1. Faulty, Defective or Damaged Products
If you receive a product that is defective, unsafe, damaged, materially different from what you ordered, or otherwise does not meet applicable legal requirements, please contact us at steelhorizonsa@gmail.com
Please provide:
- Your order number
- Your name
- A description of the problem
- Photographs or video showing the issue, where reasonably possible
We may ask for additional information to help us assess the problem.
Where applicable under South African consumer law, eligible defective goods may be repaired, replaced or refunded in accordance with your statutory rights.
2. Statutory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or any other applicable law.
Where goods fail to satisfy the applicable statutory requirements and standards, consumers may have legal remedies including repair, replacement or refund.
Where a statutory right applies, Steel Horizon will comply with that right.
3. Products Damaged During Delivery
If your product arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
Please provide photographs of:
- The product
- The packaging
- Any visible damage
This information may help us investigate the issue with the relevant shipping or fulfilment provider.
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by this reporting procedure.
4. Change-of-Mind Returns
If you simply change your mind about a purchase, whether you are entitled to cancel the transaction or return the product will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.
Where South African law provides a cooling-off, cancellation or other return right, Steel Horizon will honour that right.
For voluntary returns that are not required by law, we may require the product to be unused, undamaged and returned with its original packaging, accessories and contents.
5. Order Cancellations
If you want to cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible at steelhorizonsa@gmail.com and provide your order number.
We will try to stop the order before it is processed or dispatched.
If the order has already been dispatched, cancellation may no longer be possible in the ordinary way and the applicable return or cancellation process will apply.
Where applicable law provides a consumer with a cancellation right, that right will not be excluded by this policy.
6. Return Procedure
Please do not send a product back without contacting Steel Horizon first.
We will provide return instructions where a return is required.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, return shipping costs may be handled by either the customer or Steel Horizon.
Where applicable law requires Steel Horizon to bear the return cost, we will do so.
7. Refunds
Where a refund is due and approved, it will generally be processed using the original payment method where reasonably possible.
The time required for the funds to appear in your account may depend on your payment provider or financial institution.
Where applicable law specifies a refund period, Steel Horizon will comply with that requirement.
8. Products Damaged Through Misuse
A return or refund may not be available for damage caused by misuse, unauthorised modification, improper handling, accidental damage or use outside the manufacturer’s instructions, to the extent permitted by law.
This does not affect any statutory rights relating to defective goods.
9. Product Safety
Steel Horizon products should be used only for their intended purpose and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and safety information.
For products involving vehicle batteries, tyre inflation or electrical power, customers should carefully follow all supplied instructions.
